🙈About a year ago I conceived my little princess. We were one of those couples who weren’t planning it but if it happened we’d be happy with it. We left it to chance! But deep down I was scared of all the changes in our lifestyle. We were #dinks for so long! Plus, I was also terrified of the changes in my body - it sounds shallow, I know! But I had worked so hard to get those abs, and now I was going to lose them 🤷🏽‍♀️ 🌷Life blessed us with our little princess who is now 3 months old. We are now creating a new lifestyles parents and as a family which is super exciting! We get to be the family that we want to be! 🏋🏽‍♀️For the past 7 weeks, I’ve been working on getting my body back. Today I did the strangest thing. - My workout was in complete silence. 20 minutes with just me and Jude and my thoughts. It was a little intimidating, but I made it through. - - A lot of people think that motivation is something that comes from outside sources. While that is still true, a lot of it comes from the thoughts that are going through our own head. Today reaffirmed that we have to be our OWN source of motivation, because at the end of the day, no one is going to care about what happens in our life as much as we do. - You don't have to be great to start, but the scariest part IS the start. You will struggle. You will fail. Over and over. You will want to quit. Or maybe you DO quit. You will curse. You will scream out of frustration. You will have those thoughts of 'I'm not good enough.' But at the end of the day... You will pick yourself back up. You will push forward. You will be better for it the next day. You will fight. You will learn. You will come out stronger. Because with struggle comes strength, and you are completely and 100% worthy of anything you want. You just gotta believe it for YOU. Because I do. I am living proof. And you can be too. ❤️

Day 25 ✔ . . New recovery taps?? NOPE!! I just suck at mountain climbers and just couldn't tonight. . Beat some transformers. . I was not in the mood to workout. But, tonight, of all nights, I knew that I HAD to press play! . I've been saying all along (except maybe week 1 lol) that I hate this program....but the more I think about it, I think I "hate" it, because it's hard. My cardio needs work. I loved Liift4 because it was primarily lifting. That's what I like. Short bursts of cardio are manageable; 20 minutes of Shaun T cardio is another story although!! I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but, I think I might have to do Transform:20 again!! . I'm proud of myself for pressing play even when I didn't want to. Nobody would have known if I just skipped the workout...but I would know. Yo who the heck wants to go out into this rain? (I mean I kinda do but also I’ve got a cute pup at home with me rn and why would I leave that?) Anywhoooo.. here’s a fun at home/no equipment workout for ya. I did this Tabata style aka 20 seconds of work 10 seconds of rest. Last picture includes my playlist on iTunes you can snag😉 1. Bear crawls/air squats 2. Dead bugs/wall sits 3. Jack squats/sumo squats 4. Moving plank/mountain climbers 5. Single leg “deadlift”/other side 6. Inch worms/heel drops This whole thing took me less than 30 mins including a warmup. Guys I need here to highlight something really important in everyone’s diet, ❗️the MACROS❗️. The macronutrients are what make up the caloric content of our food: ➡️Proteins, Carbohydrates, and Fats⬅️. Most of the people and even nowadays nutritionists throw a big focus on counting the calories as if our diet and fitness are solely revolving about this number which personally I see it as the QUANTITY of food we are allowed to eat no matter what the quality is( and this is very wrong)⛔️. Ok let me say it in a simple and clear way “ CALORIES in/out determine WEGHT GAIN/LOSS and MACROS determine whether its MUSCLES OR FATS”. PLEASE guys whatever diet you are following pay a big attention to your macros which should be within your allowed caloric intake. Ya'll... this is SO not easy for me. It is a part of my story though. I feel like being vulnerable and open about the things I've struggled with, might help another woman who has also struggled. 👊 The top left picture is from 2015. The year I got married. I had been working out in the gym 🏋️‍♀️ very regularly and watching what I ate. The top right is from 2016. I think this was right before I had LG. I LOVED being pregnant 🤰 but I still had some minor complications. I think they could have been avoided had I been more active. Bottom left (says on the pic🤦‍♀️) I took that picture thinking that I would see a major difference when I started working out. -FYI that didn't happen. Life happened and the next year, 2017 was a major roller coaster. Bottom right was December 2018. I finally decided to focus on myself. 🤗 I hadn't done that in over a year and it was catching up with me. My body has went through some major transformations. This is one of my favorite dinners ever! The tortilla crusted tilapia from Costco is so good and it’s only 4 points. The brussel sprouts are from Trader Joe’s and come pre-seasoned, all I did was sprinkle a bit of Parmesan on top.

I had one of the hardest workouts I’ve had in a while when I did my workout last night. I was all in my head, telling myself how hard it was, feeling bad for missing workouts, for not being as close to finishing this program as I should be, that I’m not at my goal weight, blah blah blah. I did my best to switch my negative words to something positive, which I’m usually pretty good at, but last night it was hard. We are SO hard on ourselves. I challenge you to catch yourself the next time you start telling yourself you suck, you’re not good enough, it’s too hard, you’re frustrated, you’re not where you should be, you should just give up, etc. Instead, say things like - I am getting stronger, my hard work will pay off, I will get there, I am capable, I will not give up even when it’s hard, I can do hard things. Try it. Workouts with kids aren't always easy. See the half naked kid headed my way?? 😂😂😂 . . If I'm being honest, I prefer getting my workouts in WITHOUT the kids around. But, the reality is, sometimes there's snowstorm #732 of February and you can't run outside and don't want to drive to the gym. . . So, even though the workout may not have been perfect, I made sure to move my body. And doing so helps show my kids just how important it is to pursue my passion and to take care of me. And, hopefully, by doing so, they'll do the same when and if they decide to become parents.

ANKLE MOBILITY TO IMPROVE YOUR SQUAT By @coach_alysha . Ankle mobility is just ONE of the things I had to work on to improve my squat. . And I am far from being close to done improving my squat. . There is no end point to my goals. If i had an end point what would i do after? Sit on my booty and become lazy? . I have numerous short term goals laid out in a progressive order in order to reach my long term goals. Once I reach those there will be the next challenge 😂 . But anyways. Ankle mobility was one of the things I was seriously lacking in that prevented me from sitting down comfortably in a squat 🏋️‍♀️ . I spent a lot of time working on my ankle pails and rails and I'm going to keep working at them... because crushing single leg squats is also a goal 💪💪 . Achieving more comfortable squats means that I'm 10x more likely to do leg day 😉 . So what can I say about today's workout. First the workout was done in silence. No music, no Shaun T motivation he was quiet through the whole thing all you heard was steps. It was weird for me at first but I knew it was a mental thing. And let me tell you I had to go into my head to push myself. I had to tell myself to push and not quit. I realized my push-ups have gotten better. In Week one I struggled with that. But let me tell you afterwards, I teared up because I had to go to another level and take out the fear of failure out of my system and I to believe in myself more and I had it in my head that I was going to do my best no matter what and I did. I pushed really hard that I was yelling and my husband thought something was wrong. Lol. But I was just letting it out. My transformers are better since Week 1 and I'm just going to get better. I am just grateful to have done this workout because I would be the stop and go type and I committed this time and pushed myself hard and I am seeing the finish line of one journey to embark on the next one. It doesn't stop Saturday it keeps going. Thank you #shaunt @shuant you made me realize I can do anything I set my mind to and I have such drive and belief in myself now, You are the man. Today is my daughters third birthday. Today also marks the three years I decided that big change was needed in my lifestyle. When she was born it was like a wake up call. I have two kids under 4 now. I need to be healthy and around for a long long time! She became my drive, for her I made the decision to make the change and start on the road to a healthier me to a better version of me. One of the biggest struggles of my “job” is learning how to breathe positivity into others while also making sure that my own mental health takes a priority . There are often times I find that a little more difficult to balance, but what helps is knowing that I’m not alone in the struggle . YOGA with @adrienelouise! . Another week down 🙌🏽 this was the most I’ve stretched in a LONG time! I found a “yoga for back pain” which is crazy cuz I didn’t even know that was a thing, and honestly, I’ve been complaining about my back all week. It was so fabulous! No it’s not a Monday No I haven’t done this in a long time Yes it was a snow day Yes I had hot Coco Yes it’s late but . I’m worth it and I’m a better person, wife and mom when I take the time to move and work myself this way. This is the face I make when there is 1 more hiit round left. Working out isn't always easy or fun when your in it. BUT it is ALWAYS worth it I REALLY didn't want to press play today but I knew for my mental health that I needed to do it. Honestly working out is never that easy for me I always have to push myself but I know that there is a reward at the end. The reward is the way I feel mentally, physically and emotionally. Posting for my own accountability. Tonight's workout was 3 rounds of: 60 single unders 15 push press with the EmPack (~40#) 12 EmPack RDLs 9 KB twists with 20# Time: 6:51 . There was more jiggling going on than I liked and it was not making me happy, so I only did 3 rounds. Also the PP with the pack was uncomfortable on my thumb and I was concerned about straining it. Will definitely keep this in mind as a future workout as an AMRAP. . #emgetsstrongandbendy #empack #athomeworkout

Today’s workouts were great! First was Stronger! This was a different type of workout because there was no music and Shaun T didn’t talk to whole time...just the sound of feet on the step and breathing. I’m going to be completely honest and transparent with this one... I’ve almost completed my 15th program at home and for the first time ever in the 3 years doing this my workout had no words, no music, and the trainer only said next to cue the next move. He asked that today we be in our own heads, we cheer ourselves on, and lift ourselves up. Everyone dug deep today... I mean internally deep. I’ve been seeing so many posts from our community sharing emotional breakthroughs and how much today broke them from things they were holding onto. So here’s today... raw, and uncut. Just me in my own head... silence with the exception of the words NEXT in between moves... but so many words in my mind and my head telling myself I have this... people need you to continue... your children need you... you need to do this for them and yourself. Right at the end I said this... I’m doing this for those who haven’t done it for themselves yet... I’m doing this for the people who need my help... I’m doing this for my coaches and clients that are here now and those I’ll work with in the future. I’m doing this because a lot of people said I couldn’t. I’m ready to help you, especially if someone told you that you couldn’t. I want you to know that you can and even if you don’t believe in yourself I believe in you. I have 12 spots left the next group starts Monday February 25th... I want you in there.
