Day “I don’t fckin remember/care anymore” - muscle to fat ratio has decreased 👌🏾👌🏾 I’m feeling like I’m the exact same but that’s how it goes when you do this. Giving myself a good year to get back to previous size so in my mind I have no expectations to how fast I’m gonna build. What do you think though? Should I continue doing bi-weekly updates or do one big transformation? 🤔 actually fuck it I’ve made up my mind. One big transformation, and I’ll get people to record my workouts 👌🏾 - Today is leg day. I’ve swapped my leg & chest workouts. Also I’m really trying to get in ab workouts more I’ve been lacking but its paramount for good posture.

1. Rest and recovery Not to be underestimated, sleep is so important and can help to keep you on track. Try and prepare for quality sleep by introducing a routine. Turn off all electrical equipment i.e. TV, iPhone and pick up a book 20 -25 minutes before sleep. This will prepare you to get to sleep quicker and into a deeper sleep. Also, try not to consume alcohol before bed as this can impact rest, a blackout blind is also a great way to improve sleep. 2. Hydration Most of us will spend most of the day dehydrated so make a conscious effort to drink water throughout the day. Work towards 3-4 liters, this will help to improve concentration, energy levels, and better decision making. 3. Daily steps It can be hard to stick to a gym schedule and an influx of calories, so counteract this with more activity throughout the day. If you are normally only doing 2-3 thousand steps, try and work towards 8,000 and if you are someone that covers 10,000 try and double this. 4. Portion control This is particularly helpful when going for meals and parties. controlling your portion sizes will help to keep calories in check. Protein - one palm size Carbohydrates - one fist size Natural Fats - one thumb size Males can double this Makes sure to always get a vegetable into each meal. 5. Tracking is power Tracking your food intake is so powerful and allows you to manipulate your food to work for you. Using an app such as Myfitnesspal makes this an easy thing to do when at home our out at a restaurant. 6. Realize it's not going to be perfect. À 23 ans il gagnait 2000€/mois mais ne trouvait pas de sens à son travail. Après une prise de conscience, il a démissionné et quitté sa zone de confort... avant de trouver THE opportunité ! . Au moment où il a fait son bilan bien-être, il faisait du basket à haut niveau, 7h de sport par jour, mais avait une mauvaise nutrition. Using this pic because I have nothing else to post 😂. Took the last week off to recover from being Ill, went back to the gym this morning, warmed up and set up for squats. Few sets in and my lat (which I teared last summer) decided to ruin my session 💪 not sure if I've torn it again but the pain is pretty similar so I'm going to take quite a lot of time off until I feel it's fully healed. During this time I'll be doing a lot of foam rolling, stretching, work into body weight exercises and maybe be able to go into my next plan after Christmas. Honestly injuries and setbacks like these do affect me mentally as well as physically, I hate not being able to train and in the past I have tried to train through my back injures which was the worst thing I could have done and it's probably why I'm in my current state. In the last month or so I’ve seen posts from 4-5 different professional cyclists displaying their strength work that they’ve been instructed to do by a ‘professional’ during their off seasons. _ My instant reactions were WOW, WTF is going on there and who the hell is telling them to do this kind of stuff as barely any of it looked conducive to any kind of athletic development. It’s a good job these guys have got to the top through sheer talent and not had to rely on strength work to get that extra few percent out of them to perform. _ Like I’ve mentioned before, 80-90% of programs will be very basic and similar with the extra being added in to the needs of the individual. A good mix of bilateral and unilateral exercises that are proven and known to work are programmed over a period of time to allow for an athlete to develop and get stronger and more powerful. _ Most sports require a great amount of single leg strength so it is important to have that balance and for those that are physique orientated it is important to balance out the symmetry of your body with unilateral and bilateral exercises. _ Also a study done in 2012 by Jones et all showed that unilateral work can elicit the same hormonal response as bilateral work, if not sometimes greater where Testosterone levels were higher when doing a RFESS (shown in the video) and the elevation in Testosterone was maintained to a greater extent than when doing Back Squats. _ So todays take home message is to ignore what you see most professional athletes doing and definitely ignore what insta celebs are doing. Stick with and master the basics and make sure you’ve got a good mix of bilateral and unilateral exercises as part of your training program. This is what sacrifice looks like, I get asked often why I don’t go out on the weekends much or why don’t I drink alcohol, the truth of the matter is I’d much rather go train instead because to me that gives me way more joy and pleasure. And that’s one of the reasons I continue to make gains is because I’m extremely consistent, I eat clean everyday I try to get 8 hours sleep a day, and I train 6 days a week. And the best part out of all of it I can say I did it 100% naturally.
